Matt Cardle thought of Margaret Thatcher to avoid Rihanna erection embarrassment!
Now there it is a headline you never thought you would read. Matt Cardle, admitting that he was thinking of former Tory Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher during that raunchy duet with Rihanna last weekend during the X Factor final!
Speaking to MTV he explained exactly what was going through his mind as he and Rihanna got down to some saucy hip-swinging action singing “Unfaithful” on the X Factor stage… “I was actually thinking just don’t get an erection,” he laughed, “I had very thin, very soft trousers on and I was like ‘please, please, please’. I was thinking ‘Margaret Thatcher, Margaret Thatcher’.”
And did it do the trick? Apparently so. “There was not a chance in hell that was going to happen to me at that stage though. I was just too nervous!” he admitted.
Matt! Just imagine the problems that you could have had if you had been lined up with as many backing dancers as Wagner each week?
You might want to bear Thatcher in mind for longer, Matt, because Rihanna is apparently keen to work with you again! And, according to music industry rumours, so is the lovely young Ke$ha… Lucky boy!
