Rihanna Cover Art for new single “S&M”

January 23, 2011 | Comments 1

Despite the strong sexual content in the lyrics of Rihanna’s currently-promoted single “S & M”, the singer is not taking the same route for its cover art. Instead of picking a sexy photo for the cover, she debuts a blurry image of her, fully clothed, wearing a huge necklace and big curly red hair.

“S & M” is a single lifted off Rihanna’s latest album “Loud”. She has shot a music video for it earlier this month and gave a sneak peek of the theme by releasing a picture. “I’m great! Had a fantastic weekend shooting my best/favorite video EVER!!!!” Rihanna tweeted. Melina Matsoukas who directed the video of “Rude Boy” is also in charge for this one.

Later on before debuting the single’s cover, she said in another tweet, “Oh yeah! I got some behind the scenes S&M flix for u #RihannaNavy I’ll give em to u little by little until the vid drops.”

Rihanna posted the new cover art for her single “S&M” on twitter yesterday. The 22 year-old singer said:

“Wassup crew? Need u guys to go get S&M on ITunes NOW! Let’s go!!! #BOOM”

She also sent out a photo of her new look: crazy curly red hair (love it!) red heart shaped eye patch and melting ice cream cone.

Check out that hot pic below. Looking forward to the video!
